2.4 Vibrant Expressions of Cultural Diversity

As Boston and the region become more ethnically diverse, the creative life of the city is changing to provide Bostonians with more opportunities to share varied cultures and traditions.  Reflections of broad cultural diversity can be found everywhere from neighborhood festivals and ethnic parades, to the expanding range of cuisine available in restaurants, to informal meeting places in the region’s communities.  

Diverse cultural perspectives also are expressed in Boston’s growing number of special-focus film festivals, such as the Roxbury Film Festival, the Gay and Lesbian Film Festival, the Irish Film Festival, the Boston Jewish Film Festival and the Independent Film Festival.
