Luc Schuster, Executive Director
Luc Schuster is the Executive Director of Boston Indicators, a research center at the Boston Foundation. With a background in research, data analysis, communications, and public policy, Schuster’s areas of expertise include demographic change, housing, education, transportation, and economic development. Under his leadership, Boston Indicators has become a trusted source of data-driven insights that support policymakers, community leaders, and advocates in their efforts to make Greater Boston a more thriving, equitable and inclusive region.
Prior to joining Boston Indicators, he worked at the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center as Deputy Director doing state budget, education finance, and tax policy research. Luc has also done a range of independent public policy consulting, including providing support for the City of Boston’s Tuition-Free Community College program. Luc is currently a member of the Somerville Planning Board, served as a two-term member of the Cambridge School Committee, and has a Master in Public Policy degree from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
